I have a Hyundai Sonata 2002 automatic which has just broken down. What happened is that while driving the engine suddenly stopped and the check engine light turned on. I attempted to start the engine but soon after it started it died again. The next time I start it, the engine just cranks but won't start at all.
GuruSXVL3 answered 4 years ago. HiI have a 2010 Forester 5 speed. No problems at all until now. I had brakes done..pretty routine, but within a couple of days my battery died..again, no big deal. A couple of days later, all of the braking sensors came on while I was driving. My mechanic said it was a sensor or switch, I don’t remember
Tires Need Balancing. Imbalanced tires are a recipe for disaster. They lead to shaking and excessive wear, which in turn causes problems with the suspension. If you notice your car shaking when driving at different speeds your wheels may need balancing. Pay close attention to the part of the vehicle that shakes.
the lead driver suddenly goes into reverse; the lead car's brake lights don't work properly; the lead driver suddenly hits the brakes for no valid reason ("brake checks") the trailing driver, or; the lead car has a mechanical problem, but the lead driver doesn't move it fully to the side of the road. You suddenly find yourself in an uncontrolled vehicle with no way of stopping. But it is possible to safely stop your car even if the brake pedal doesn’t work. The following steps will help you regain control of your car and bring it to a safe halt. 1. Stop accelerating. If your brakes fail, the only way to stop will be to slow down first.
Spark Plugs. The spark plugs in a gasoline vehicle light your gas on fire to create the combustion that drives the engine. Anything that interferes with the spark plugs doing their job can bring your vehicle to a stop. This can result from problems with the plugs, a camshaft sensor, plug wire, caps, rotors, ECU, crankshaft or distributor.
Why does my car stop while driving? If the car’s engine stops suddenly while driving, there is a possibility that the fuel tank has emptied. Either you “forgot” to refuel, or the tank level sensor no longer indicates correctly, in which case you should go to the service to fix the problem. The alternator is faulty.
Check The Fuse Box. If your car has no power, it could be due to a blown fuse. A blown fuse can cause your vehicle to lose power by disrupting the electrical current. The best way to check if a fuse is blown is to use a multimeter. Set the multimeter to the “ohm” setting and touch the two leads to the fuse terminals.
